Proms 2009
The Aldershot Proms Extravaganza has now been running for 14 years. It is specifically aimed at raising funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, but other charities have also benefited from the public's generosity at attending these concerts.
This continued support has enabled the band to donate over £80,000 to the Poppy Appeal and the following charities;
- The Army Benevolent Fund
- Kids Out 2004
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Hampshire Blind Association
- Make a Wish Foundation
- Club Hampshire
- Royal Society for the Deaf
As always, these concerts are a musical feast of film, pop, show music all ending with a patriotic finale of Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, giving everyone present a feel good factor about all things British.
We are pleased to announce that our 2009 Proms Concert raised over £4,000. This is being donated to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal and Parkinson's Disease Society.
Check back here later in the year for details of our 2010 Proms Extravaganza this Autumn.
